I’m tired of being stuck in this house
I love my family but I’ve got to get out
I can’t spend another afternoon
Drinking whiskey with nothing to do
I’m sick of this sickness, can I get a witness?
Disdaining this distance, it’s starting to kill me
I wish I could finish the projects I begin
I’ve got nothin to do yet I can’t do anything…
I need to get outside
So I can breathe
But I can’t without a mask covering my face
I just want to get the hell out of this place
So I can get outside and breathe
But I can’t leave
I know it seems this virus is trying to deny us of fulfilling our basic human need
We weren’t made to be alone, and talking on the phone can’t replace you being here with me
But I pray
I pray to God
That this pandemic is something we can learn from
And I hope
That with all this time you’ve got
That you pray too so you can learn the person you’re supposed to become
I hope you find out the person you’re supposed to become
